Responsibility & Accountability

Sometimes we find ourselves wondering—why do we even live? Life is basically a journey made up of responsibilities handed to us. And the way people value and prioritize these responsibilities defines their quality of life.

If you ask people what kind of life they want, most will talk about financial freedom—big houses, fancy clothes, luxury brands. They have big dreams, but either they haven't achieved them or they’re not even trying to. The truth is, these people just don’t want to take on the responsibility that comes with success. To them, life is just a road that eventually comes to an end.

Actually, responsibilities start the moment we’re born. Even as babies, we have to start learning—how to eat, talk, walk, and behave. During this stage of life, since we don’t understand failure or hardship, we just accept these challenges and handle them naturally. We adapt without overthinking it.

But then, at some point, we reach a new stage and step into society—something we call school.

That’s when things start to change. In school, we’re introduced to rules, expectations, and competition. For the first time, we experience failure, comparison, and pressure. Some kids adapt quickly, accepting these new responsibilities just like they did as babies. But for others, this is where resistance begins—they start avoiding challenges, fearing failure, or simply losing interest.

As we grow older, responsibilities keep piling up—education, career, relationships. But unlike childhood, where we naturally embraced challenges, many people now start looking for shortcuts, avoiding effort, or even blaming others for their struggles. This is where the gap between those who take responsibility and those who don’t starts to widen, shaping the kind of life each person will have.

People who refuse to take responsibility are always complaining about how hard life is. But those who accept it, knowing they are in charge of their own path, face challenges with a smile. No matter how tough things get, they enjoy the journey because they understand one simple truth—you get rewarded based on the effort you put in. And rewards are limitless; there’s enough for everyone. But since so many people choose not to take responsibility, they end up handing over their rewards to those who do.

Life is a journey—a game with countless pieces to move. The way we play determines our position in life. To live a fulfilling life, we don’t need to prove ourselves to others. Instead, we need to focus on discovering, accepting, and proving ourselves to *ourselves*. That’s how we unlock true greatness. And the real rewards in life aren’t material things—those are just bonuses. The true purpose of life is something deeper, something meaningful beyond the physical world.
